insted of going direct to moscow and capturing it before winter ,he was switching supplies from army group centre to army group north ,then to army group south,didnt send winter clothing,treating the people of ukraine and other places like none persons,even though they were greated like liberators,hitler interferred again and again ,not withdrawing from stalingrad,lost a whole army there,i could go on and on of what mistakes the germans made .they could of won the war yes ,but they didnt

there bombers did a lot of damage ,but could of done a lot more with heavy bombers they did not have,their goal was russia but had to divert into north africa and greece and yugoslavia after the italians were defeated in those places,so delaying the invasion of the ussr,they started the invasion to late in the year,made great gains against a russian army decimated by stalin,most officers killed .then thats were hitler cocked it up

the first mistake was thinking they could do a peace deal with britain,they invaded poland,thus bringing britain into the war,they failed to finish the BEF off at dunkirk letting over 300,000 british and french escape.underestimated the RAF,defeated in battle of britain,never had a powerful enough navy for a maritime invasion

they lost because of adolf hitler plain an simple ,if it was left to his generals the war may have had a different outcome,their are a hundred ifs and buts ,it was very bad tactics, germany at the start of the war were the strongest on most modern,they wernt fully ready by 1939, but they had been re-arming all thru the 30s, plus they illegally broke the treaty ,that limited them to a certain tonnage of navy,by building the likes of the bismark and tirpiz,they did take one hell of a beating
