The button at the top of the trash can is wired to a hopper located below the 'cloth hopper. Not too complicated.

why cant we just have the qloader hard lined onto the weapon...keep the gun on constant automatic fire mode and start turning the dial. mini gun anyone?

Why? Just use a hopper.
Most likely It's just a motor with some kind of agitators that sits at the bottom of the bucket and funnels the balls down the tube..
