Looked good. Maybe add a adjustment layer, then a GLOW effect (Standard Cycore) to make the lightning "pop" more- or adjust using levels and hue/saturation. Experiment with the layer mode also, not just ADD, or NORMAL, try Overlay and Hard light, etc...

The one on my belt? Pah its just a cheapo from Wal*Mart, yaknow with the red button that lets the blade come out with a flick.
Its like 5$, it just looks good from afar.
