Source is a water bottle and fountain system that allows consumers convenient access to free filtered tap water within busy urban environments. High street retail stores such as Topshop, Muji and John Lewis would buy the source water fountain and install it at the entrance to their store. Consumers buy the source water bottle from stores that support the system and can fill it up whenever they pass a fountain. To encourage the use of the bottle, consumers will gain reward points every time they fill their bottle with water. These points can be redeemed against items in the stores supporting the system.

  • just curious, but in this concept did they take into account that people sharing a filling station might as well be sharing each others bottles as far as germs and bacteria are involved? nice idea though

  • this will never catch on. bacteria and germs being a main factor.

  • now just gotta come up with a better way to clean water.. thanks to modern medicine... youll find alot of residue stuff in the water, that treatment plants cannot filter out :P

  • @ronaldartwell i disagree, UV technology could be built in which would sterilise the water in a non=toxic way, the way this thing looks, there will be no external points that interact with your bottle as it uses a special valve system. Anyway, its certainly safer and cleaner that the horrid water fountains most cities have.

  • @bradclarkuk I agree with you on this one.... it would be better for nice indoor buildings; while if it were out in public there might be some pretty immature people that manage a way to ruin this concept, such as sticking gum on it or something.

  • lolz at the geeky hipster model

  • would love this to become a reality, the current drinking water solution in cities is so wasteful and costly, bottled water is awfully wasteful, i could see this in offices and banks, libraries all over where a water dispenser would be too bulky and ugly.

Good luck and i hope it becomes a reality.
