  • Now all they gotta do is they make this game backwards compatible!

  • I'm going to freakin' miss this game considering that the company that made it pretty much went under. This was a GREAT game and I was REALLY looking forward to the next two parts...

  • @TunerKnightmare It's included on the playpack for Onlive so I finally get to play! :)

  • This game was one of those games that suffered from overhype, they shown the trailers for this game in theaters, stating the game has a story about as good as a movie, and even included a $1,000,000 contest.

  • Dammit its just not fair! A game with such awesome story and potential and its left in the cold

  • @kryptonianninja The game has errors on Windows 7?

  • @TPhyre graphics with a surprising lack of jagged lines to choppy cutscenes that were poorly rendered and incredibly jagged, and it just made the game look uglier. The overall lack of polish on the game helped it along to where it is now; just a memory we look back on praying for a finish to a story that could have evolved into something incredible if it was taken further in the right steps. But that's never going to happen.

  • @TPhyre Don't get me wrong. I think this game is amazing, but I'm not so blinded by my love for it that I can't see the fatal flaws it had that led to poor sales and will eventually cause the game to fall into total obscurity while mainstream garbage like Halo 3 goes forever. Saying the game had design that was above most games of the time is a ridiculous because it wasn't. The cutscene quality was far lower than the ingame graphics; which was a huge disappointment because you'd go from clear

  • @TPhyre Slapped ontop of it, music played at horrible times during cutscenes, the overall transitions of the games story was incredibly abrupt with little explaination as to what was going on (For instance, the part after you defeat the opposing Arealians in the city, then suddenly you're in control and without saying anything after that you're suddenly flying with a massive fleet to fight the N'kul)

  • @TPhyre Actually, the game had some fo the most outdated graphics at the time. Only 3 tracks on the OST were particularily good -- and they outshone every other song in terms of quality (Koroem, Greater Lights and the main theme). Some of the bugs the game suffered from (From crashes to audio that simply decided to reset) The gameplay was great but the controls for the game could be annoying at times (On the PC Telekenisis took a lot of getting used to as opposed to the xbox)

  • @BoydTheMilkmanX, advent rising had an excellent art direction, the music was epic for its time, and every game has bugs. saying it failed because of 'poor' anything is just premature criticism. the story was awesome, the graphics and game play was fantastic, and the art design may not be next gen but it is above most games of that time.

  • @BoydTheMilkmanX you used the word "poor" like alot lol
