@racear8 Legally, I know of nothing that would preclude it; pragmatically speaking, There are two factors to consider.
1.) I rather doubt that any insurer would permit it.
2.) You would have to operate at a relatively low altitude that would cause the engine to guzzle fuel.

A beauty to watch... with plenty of room to spare!

okay, i've walked on sidewalks wider than this runway..

@youngestpilotinGa It provides better leverage against the airframe, allowing for a smaller tail than would be possible if it were mounted lower. It also decreases the pitch changes usually experienced when altering the power setting of a prop driven aircraft.

@graycloud057 Its a backup if the primary GPS fails.

@gaguy1967 it was designed that way so that people could bring their cars up to the aircraft and that they could have more room in general for people on the ground
for me the best luxe turboprop in the world!

Also this aircraft has 0 fatalities due to engine failure. Compared to 14.28 fatalities per year due to loss of power in twin engine turborops in the US. (Over last 20 years)
Even if the latest crash would have been caused by an engine failure the PC-12 would just have 0.93 fatalities over its last 15 years of operation due to engine failure. There are a total of 38 fatalities world wide within 15 years of operation and over 700 PC-12's in the sky. That makes it one of the safest GA aircrafts.
