The Primitive Quartet sings "The Prettiest Flowers Will Be Blooming" & "King Of Love" from their album "Who Do You Think" recorded in 1980.
The photos on the album cover were taken at the overlook for Hominy Valley where the Primitive Quartet hosts their annual outdoor singing each summer.

  • Yes! Yes! Yes!.... The older music from the Primitive's that I have heard some but never could just listen to anytime. Good work uploading this! Please if you can post the rest of the songs from this album. There are good songs on here as on others too. What other primitive's albums do you have you can post up. Do you have the song "Be Of Good Cheer" or "When Jesus Brings Sweet Glory Down" or both??? I am looking for them. I really really like this bluegrassy gospel sound.

  • I am not certain if I have those albums. If I do, I will post some from them soon.

Hope you enjoy them. I have several others from these guys I will upload soon.

  • Thanks... We sang prettiest flowers in Church in grew up in... It was one of father's mothers favorite songs also. I saw on the Pic on the record. "God Put A Rainbow in the clouds" is on this album. That was also in the Hymnal we used. You don't hear it very often.
