  • I would take a good 'ol 7-angle stone ground valve job over a radius cut valve job any day. While it's awesome to have no angles with a radius on the seat, even after lots of lapping compound, the radius cut seats don't seal as well against the valves. It doesn't make sense except when you consider how difficult it is to keep the angle of the cutter true. You can sorta hear what I mean in this vid.

    Sure saves a shload of time and sweat to use the radius cutter, though! 5-stars 4 sharing.
