@TonyAerts I agree I did like the animation in 3rd strike. The parry system itself was a good idea but the focus attack system is better imo because it balanced itself out. you not only had to read your oppenets move but you could also capitalize off of it or use it to cancel out of a normal or a move into another move.

No it wont say that, the parry system was a great step forward, it gives to the fights incredibles possibilties and reversal of situation, this game is 10 times more skillfulness than SF4. And i dont even speak about the masterpiece accomplished with the 2D animation.

@TonyAerts Ok talk to someone who plays super 2 turbo and they'll tell you the same thing. 3rd strike had 3 releases and 10 years, i think it was time it died.

it's smart. hes making more clients.

Maybe but it proves nothing. Is mainstream opinion always the best ? No. My comment sounds like offensing but i'm too nostalgic, i cant love this game after 3rd Strike. This game is like two steps back for me.

@TonyAerts That's why it is the premier game at EVO.

SF4 sucks so much...

Honestly, I was more impressed with his spacing during the matchup. He was standing right outside of dhalsim's limbs range. The combo itself is fairly easy to do with a few minutes of practice. His understanding of spacing and his fundamentals are just incredible though.
@guy9787 Nope, you have it backwards. The Lvl 2 FA trap wasn't impressive at all, anyone can simply do that and I've seen in quite a lot in a few matches I've had. You think pulling off an insane combo like that with 1 frame links in a real match against pros like Mochi is simple??? Taking advantage of opportunities like that is not that amazing, taking advantage of opportunities like that and exploiting the best possible combo is ridiculous.

What's not impressive isn't the combo in this vid but what Daigo did to make the combo hit his opponent. He purposely charged his Focus Attack to Lvl 2 on Dhalism's wakeup to make his opponent backdash which would create an opening for him to start his combo and end the match. What amazes me is that all of this was going through his head while mid match. High level play in fighting games always amazes me, it's like chess but without the turns.
