Fondant from scratch.
Melt marshmellows in microwave 30 seconds at a time with 2 Tablespoons of water till fluffy. Stir between. Add half bag of Powder Sugar, mix with wooden spoon. Turn out on heap of powder sugar. Rub hands well with shortening and need in as much of the sugar till the texture and thickness you desire is reached. Will be smooth and not sticky.... Shape, color, roll. Do not frig!!!

Marshmellow, Powder Sugar and a touch of water. Use shortening to keep hands from getting sticky.

  • Hi hee, yes sometimes I use shortening to keep it from sticking but not too often. Yes any WalMart should carry past/ gel type food colors. You can find them in the wedding / cake supply area. Near party supplies. I simply pull of as much as I will need then little at a time add and knead the color into the fondant till desired intensity. Black can be tricky.. Likes to get dried out...

  • LOL,,,, correct, lol

  • hi, thanks for you video. i have one question: how many time i can to keep this fondant? can you write the recipe? or send me to my email janiangh@yahoo.com, thanks and happy holidays

  • @yanni5473 It is about 1 bag of marshmallows to 1 to 1&1/2 bag powder sugar with about 2 Tablespoons water to moisten the marshmallows while melting in microwave 30 seconds at a time and stir...

  • Your kitchen is not ugly! It's a functioning kitchen & reminds me of the Wilton kitchen! LOL. Your video is awesome! You said you did your huge batch of fondant in a ice cream machine? How creative! Thanks for sharing, I learned allot!
