Reality Check Ep.4

Joe:

She was quietly mumbling something, her words were soft and her tone was..so lonely. Why? why is it that she looks so healthy, so happy and yet her emotions are all mixed up. I tried to listen to her, but I couldn't understand because of the sobs. I tried not to make a sound, but I did.
" ...Joe?" She sniffed and wiped her tears.
"I--uh..." I stammered. What am I supposed to do now, she knows I'm here. She knows that I've been "observing".
"... what are you doing outside, it's getting cold and you should be resting for you to heal." She said as she gestured for me to go inside.

I didn't want to go inside yet, I wanted to know why she was crying, I am curious.

"umm...Demi" I said as I looked up.
"....yes?" She replied.
" I'm sorry." I walked back into the house.

Demi stared at Joe as he walked back into the house, you see, Joe had never said sorry to any girl--in fact anyone-- until...now. Demi sighed as she walked back into her room. Joe walked into his room and sat on his bed, he stared outside the window gazing at the stars. He wanted to get back home already, he wanted to be pampered once more instead of being like this. He laid on his bed and fell asleep.

//The Next Morning

Joe walked into the living room, he was looking for Demi.

" Good morning, Joe." She smiled.
"umm...Good morning Demi" Joe said nervously.
"You'll be helping me out in the field today." She said.
" What?! yuk! heck no! I hate getting dirty." He had yelled.
" Don't be a wimp." She giggled. " Come on, it's the least you could do." She added.
" BUT I DON'T WANT TO." He yelled once more.
" Ugh! come on! be a man for once!" she rolled her eyes.
"no!" Joe insisted that he stayed inside.
Demi grabbed his hands, she pulled him into the field.
"What's wrong with a little fresh air and warm sunshine?" She asked him softly. " Tell me " She stepped closer to him, looking into his eyes.
".....I-uh.." Joe got nervous because he was mesmerized by Demi's brown eyes.
"please...help me." She smiled.
Without thinking, Joe nodded.
"great." Demi giggled as she handed him a basket.
"What am I supposed to do with a basket?!" He looked at it and smirked.
" We're gonna harvest the strawberries." She said. " follow me." she added.

Demi walked into this medium sized orchard full of sweet smelling strawberry bushes. Joe's eyes had widened, he haven't seen a place like this before.

" I Love Strawberries " Demi smiled as she knelt down in front of the bush.

Joe knelt down beside her " Demi, tell me. How big is your farm?"

" 100 acres."
