  • Perfection. Pinkerton might be a scumbag but when Jussi sings him, I'd fall for him too.

Oh, boy, do I ever agree!

  • Madama Butterfly Love duet Bjoerling and De Los Angeles---absolutely magnificent, Bjorling and Tebaldi in LaBoheme again magnificent, and Bjorling and Milanov in Aida, duets you just cannot believe all so magnificent.

I agree; also, in my humble opinion, Bjoerling with anyone, and alone was a gift that was snatched away, too soon. I am so glad there are such great recordings of his silver and glorious voice.

  • My favorite opera's are Madame Butterfly and La Boheme, but only when Jussi sings.

I have both opera recordings with de Los Angeles. Super. If only Jussi had been around a lot longer. I am so grateful for all the people who post these wonderful recordings of Jussi. Thousand and thousand times thanks.

Thank you. There are holes in many hearts from when Jussi died. Such a voice occurs so rarely; so sad it leaves us so soon. Thank the powers that be for all his recordings.

  • Yes thank you, I agree whole heartedly. He was an amazing artist; his recordings of so many arias and songs are truly incredible. The incredible thing is, the quality of the performance on so many different arias and classical songs---it is IMO, impossible to match him by anyone Aria for Aria, Song for Song.

  • De Los Angeles and Bjorling are very good, BUT it is the Scotto-Bergonzi recording that casts the longest shadow ..Barbiroli inspires performances from his Italian soprano and tenor , that Santini just does not achieve with both his orchesrtra and his star studded singers.

  • magnificent.

  • This touching recording never gets old to me. :)
