With the new rail road more and more Han are going to Tibet, now Han are the Majority in Tibet. If you have democracy in Tibet -one man, one vote, in the election the President for Tibet will be Han Chinese. Tibetan are minority in their own country, just like the red Indian in USA. Tibetan are as good as history.

It is progressive of China to promote migration of non-Tibetans into traditional Tibetan area.

This is like forced busing of children in the USA.

In 1968, the Green Decision, 85% of blacks parents chose to send their kids to all-blacks schools.

One can say that since 1968, the US has conducted cultural genocide of blacks by forcing them to sit next to white kids.

Hogwash. Minority cultures are meant to end eventually. This is a part of social progress, cultural genocide or not.

I doubt if there is such a thing as forced assimilation.

A government can force exposure, but the choice to assimilate is always an individual one.

The USA forces exposure as a part of the enligtenment of the civil rights movement. It is forced busing of children. The US can force children of different races to sit next to each other, but ultimately whether there are more racially mixed people like Obama depends on individual choice.

It is progressive to force exposure in China.
