@ThrashCristh93 Venom, Diamond Head etc. They had a huge inspiration on Mustaine, he wanted to play a heavier faster style then them and he gave birth to Thrash in the early 80s.

@ThrashCristh93 Back in those days the early 80s, It was just considered Speed Metal. Yesits obvious that Venom was first, but Mustaine brought it to critical mass. He took the elements that Venom used and made into what is now the Thrash Metal genre.

The flaw of that argument is that Thrash isn't about just speed or the weight of the music as a whole, but more about the absorption into the music of the individual listener.
