Was it snowing when you went over? That looks like snow on the ground when you are on approach. I want to emigrate to NYC after I finish uni and get a green card, but I'd like to fly in when it's dark, so I can see the whole of New York City at night: a beautiful sight.

No it wasn´t snow. We´ve been there from the end of august till mid september. As you see we had the luck to land when it´s getting dark. A unforgetable moment if you approach to NYC with a great sunset over the Long Island sound. Our Flight back home was at night and so we had the chance to see NY with all his beautyness. Unfotanally i did not upload that video, but i´ll try to do that.

@knoppma Oh I see, it lookes like snow, that's why I asked. I plan to fly in at night and fly out at night (although I hate overnight transatlantic flights back to the UK, because I can never sleep!) and it would be really cool if you could upload the video :)

actually it will take a time to upload that video. We´re preparing our next trip to USA in 3 weeks. Maybe i can bring some more videos back home. This time from Wahington and New York. :-)

@1982FMJ No the only aircraft that could accomplish this due to her speed was concorde, and they had tracks direct east and west across the atlantic, sub-sonic aircraft then are better served and shorter and quicker route then is over the pretty extreame north where you usaually get a chance to see icebergs and Tundra than not, dependent if its clear out, thats a normal transatlantic routning is via the North Atlantic, over Gander NF and such, 2 engines Vs 4, makes no diff
