  • For calculating the rev rate, are you basing your calculations off the assumption that the camera shoots at 30 fps?

  • @jasemook - Yes, my camera shoots at 30fps which is pretty standard for cameras from the US. In Europe the standard is 25fps. If your camera shoots at something other than 30fps you will need to use a different equation...or just go to bowlspot.com/coaching/quickCalculator and use their calculator to do the math for you!

  • Great vid. Do you mind explaining what axis tilt and axis rotation are and how they affect the way the ball reacts please.

  • @Doza418 There's not enough room here to fully explain it, but simply put these play a roll in how much or little a ball skids and hooks, when the ball hooks, and how sharp or smooth the ball hooks. There is much more to it than that but I'm already out of space, here are a couple of links that have info and images to help explain them.

  • @Doza418 Youtube won't let me post the links...not sure why. Go to wiki(dot)bowlingchat(dot)net and click on the Glossary link and you will see the links for Axis Tilt and Axis Rotation

  • Im 16, and I dont get many revs, im a tweener, but I averaged 220 in my high school league. Its not always about revs, but this does help track how consistant my release is. Good vid

  • @NVNAXS - You are absolutely correct, bowling well isn't just about how many revs you get on the ball. The most important thing for bowling success is consistency and accuracy, no matter how you deliver the ball.

  • None of this matters if the lanes aren't usbc certified. Meaning that if the crosswise tilts or depressions aren't correct than none of this makes a difference because your ball won't work anyway. the sport is a scam find something where people don't control the lanes and you can actually have a chance.

  • @mattbowl300 Thanks! :)

  • @mattbowl300 A good example would be norm duke. Not many revs, but a future hall of famer. Revs DO play somewhat of an important part though, but yes, I agree.
