A #1 and #2 for Ferrari and a strong showing from Lotus and Force India. Nico Rosberg finishes ahead of Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel falls back to 4th from pole due to a mechanical issue...
The biggest problem with F1 now is that it has been over regulated. Bringing in more regulations, banning this, reducing that will only exacerbate the current problems. The sooner the FIA stop interfering, and the quicker Hermann f**king Tilke goes out of business or finds some other large project to concentrate on, the better F1 will be.
as i said it gives them better opportunity to pass but with factors like new aerodynamics and lack of mechanical grip etc it does not guarantee overtaking.
Racing may also mean pushing the pace of the car, did you see any of that? Hence the parade lap comment.
There are so many factors that need to be changed in F1 not just refueling, but did it help in Bahrain? That is why i hope upcoming races would be better with new strategies and tracks. OK?
@UserNamei5 I know the whole story with Ferrari, Alfa and Fiat. I know what you meant. I'm glad that such a legendary brand as Lotus came back to Formula 1 , but to be honest I they won't be very successful this season. My premonition for the 2010 season : 1. Ferrari 2. McLaren 3. Red Bull 4. Mercedes GP 5. Renault 6. Williams 7. Force India and the rest ..... but still can't be so sure it's Formula 1 :)
Don't be daft! Alfa won't back :)Since we've got Ferrari in Formula1 wearing red ( originally the colour of Alfa Romeo ) there is no need for Alfa. Maserati, Ferrair and Alfa Romeo are the units of FIAT group. It would be too expensive to have 3 brands in Formula 1. Besides, Alfa Romeo is no longer luxiourius sport cars is jus a sport Fiat nowadays. Lotus was reintruduced by some Malaysian millionaire , it has nothing to do with the old Lotus.
I am concerned about the new points system. A 7 point difference between first and second makes the deficit hard to close later in the season. Alonso may just need 3 or 4 race wins to wrap up the championship.
Here's hoping Melbourne will have more excitement though.
my random rantings are: ban on refueling is a GOOD thing but unlike back in the early 90s and earlier, the cars aero today are too effective and work against the following car. AND f#*&ing rev limits hinder the ability for cars to slipstream. I say flat bottomed cars and no god awful rev limits! See you at Albert Park. (well see me in the crowd)

why can't you keep the discussion civil?

Refueling at the least brought in pit stop strategy. Lighter cars have the opportunity to pass those with heavier loads.
Bringing back the old rule won't miraculously save present day F1, but it certainly did not help at Bahrain.
