  • Very beautiful in it's way:)

Or in russian : Oshen krassivoi!

  • No this is not an ALCO it is made in the same style. How ever there were some ALCOs imported into Soviet Union and these locomotives were build in that style. There are more differences then simularityies. Hope this answers your question.

  • @cvrnut09 those 2TE10Ms definatlly are an impressive unit to see and hear for sure

  • @cvrnut09 that makes since but what I saw in Archangel wasnt a cowl bodied unit it had a walkway just like the trainmaster

  • @gaycowboy31 I think the 2TE10M,s would be the cowelled version of an FM Trainmaster

  • @cvrnut09 yah I definatlly know that fact to be true I saw a few American imported Alcos in the railroad Muselm in St Petersburg and if I remember rightI also saw one in Novesevirsk so when I heard these working the railyards over there I thought American Alco right off the bat I was up in Northern Russia near Murmansk a few years ago and also saw what looks like a Perfect knockoff of the FM Trainmaster as well looks and sound

  • @gaycowboy31 If you look up WW2 history, several Alco RS-1,s were sent over under the lend lease program, What the Russians ended up doing was plagiarizing the design, so this was copied from the military version of the RS-1. So even after all these years, the sound of a 539 still barks out across the steppes

  • @cvrnut09 yah I thought they were Alcos the first time I heard one working a yard over there on my first rail trip there

  • @piktrains TEM2 is straight descendant of TEM1 with only some modifications and improvements, and TEM1 was an based on TE1, and TE1 is Da (ALCO) clone :)

  • d xtv tuj ckfdf&

  • sounds like a Alco 539 nonetheless. Wonderful sound
