Primary colour, roughly sculptured surfaces overlaid with
a 'cloud' of lighter paint applied in the action-paint style made
famous by Jackson Pollock.

Artwork employs the use of string, muslin, gold-leaf,

  • I really liked the tutorial. But I am a little confused about a couple of steps. Why did you apply all of the black and then cover it up with the red hue? I can see a little of the black causing the red to be a shade darker. Just curious.

  • Thanks.

It was just for the reason you say. To give the red a darker backdrop really.

  • WOW that is INCREDIBLE!!

I am a complete beginning to any sort of visual art.. may I ask what the strips/sheets are that you're using around 1:40??

  • Thank you. Gorjess91, the strips are gold-leaf. You can buy them most art materials suppliers.
