  • Sorry! The chef is really hard to get a hold of -- no e-mail access, etc. - so no luck getting that recipe for you. Apologies!

  • I watched the show tonight and my mouth was watering. I love cornbread, especially when it's sweet. Wish I could get the recipe! And where in the world is Hobe Sound????

  • @MetalGrannie Hobe Sound is just north of Jupiter. A bit of a drive if you're in Dade/Broward, but many say it's worth it.

  • @MetalGrannie Good news! Our host, chef Michelle Bernstein offers up her recipe for a deliciously sweet cornbread: 1 ½ cup AP flour ½ cup Cornmeal 2/3 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon salt 3.5 teaspoons baking powder 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup milk 2 Tbsp vegetable oil ¼ cup melted butter preheat oven to 400F Spray a 9inch round cake pan. Combine all dry ingredients. Stir in all wet ingredients. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Whoo-hoo! Thank you, CheckPleaseSouthFL and Michelle!

  • @CheckPleaseSouthFL OMG!! Someone is actually monitoring this. How cool is that! I probably will never get there . . . it's way too far for me. Do you think you could get the recipe? Or do you have a recipe that closely resembles it? Thanks. I love the show.

  • I have to say, you were wrong on a few things: 1) The sides are not "disappointing". The sides are awesome, I should know, I've had them all. 2) IT DOES NOT COST $20 PER PERSON. The most expensive thing on the entire menu is the large cut of venison and is $23 and feeds at LEAST 2 people. I just have to emphasize how affordable the place is, through and through. A chopped pork sandwich w/2 sides and cornbread is a TON of food and is only $7. Get it right and go to CW's.
