Hahahah. Have you thought about maybe why its a world record? Maybe because IT IS a big achievement?! Maybe it does take SKILL to hold your breath for a couple of minutes and make a good shot on one of these fish? then fight the fish for over an hour? And how much by-catch is produced through this? NONE!, if that isnt respect then what is?.
Rounding them up by the 1000's into pens surely isnt!

Its hard to disrespect these guys. They are highly skilled and extremely adventurous.
If it were not for this kind of spirit, humans would never have made it to the top of the food chain in the first place. While fat people were training themselves to farm wheat, rice etc, people like this had the balls to chase reluctant protein sources - and for this legacy and the large brains and lean muscular frame that we inherited we all owe them thanks.
