Srey was rescued from the life of a sex slave by Somaly Mam, a former prostitute who runs shelters for the victims of Cambodia's sex trade. Somaly has rescued 53 children, so far. Many of them have profound psychological trauma. Some clearly are mentally ill.

Somaly herself suffered terrible ordeals when she worked the streets, including seeing her best friend murdered. She is determined to build something positive out of so much despair.

Ever since my boyfriend bought me Somaly's book last year Im obsessed. I love every thing this woman stands for and what shes doing. This is proof that just because there are billions of people in the world, doesn't mean one person cant make a lasting impact on the lives of others. this gives me hope.

In my opinion, someone that rapes or sells children, needs killed. They need to have their skin on their shoulders cut about 4 inches long, and peel it down about 5 inches, than hang a 5 lb weight on each piece of skin. Let it slowly peel off their body. While they live.

THIS IS TERRIBLE! The PIMP was a POLICEMAN!!! And he got left off the hook! I cannot even understand how it would be if things were like this in America. I am so grateful that my parents love me and would never ever ever send me to a brothel, and that out policemen are tried in court just the same as everyone else.
