Yep. Fireworks is the name of the program. The fire system itself is an EST IRC-3 type system. It's a beast and a pain in the ass.
With Fireworks being integrated that way makes it much easier to test the system and it gives the person who's stuck at the panel a nice visual of where the devices are located.

Yes. Generally, one person is always at the panel to acknowledge events that come in, while the other person(s) are out in the field testing the devices.
Being Panel Monkey is usually a very boring job.
