Sorry about the double post my phone screwed up. RIP to Malcolm X, greatest scholar of our times

"Individual racism" is "benign racism." Its like a soft dick or a dry pussy - has no kinetic effect. Lisa Lampenelli calls black children "niglets" IN her stand up, Gov Rick Snyder calls black children "liabilities" WITH his policy. Only one of those ppl can be considered funny.

@LoFidelityBeatz i get what youre saying about systematic racism. that is on a much larger scale. I'm talking about an individual state of mind. if i go over to China and call any chinese individual i see a Chink or w/e regardless of the fact that I have zero power in that society I as an individual am racist. Racism on that level doesnt require systematic oppression. Racism on the individual level only requires that you make assumptions about a persons character based solely on their race

@TheillMadeKnght Understood. I agree with what you said. Good point.

Because to this day, I can say "honky" a million times and u can say "bad credit." Who's word carries more weight? Not to say it hasn't improved (somewhat,) but I'm talkin about racism in the context of this era. It was an insurmountable, omnipresent force.

I think the problem is you don't understand what racism is. Racist rhetoric are like the clothes it wears i.e watermelon, the word nigger, porch monkey etc etc. Racism is a system that raised Malcolm X, thereby creating him. Racism is the teacher telling him "lawyer" is not a job for niggers. Racism is a constitution that gives you 3/5ths of the rights it proclaims for all. Racism is somebody in a white mask killing your father. I don't think Blacks had enough power to be racis

@LoFidelityBeatz yes. white racism came first. was Malcolm's distaste for white society a product of white racism? yes. that is not the point. the point is that racism is racism is racism. and it's wrong regardless of which direction its pointed

@jamooree true. not an idea shared necessarily by all white supremacists. i was thinking more of the generalizations of other white racists that say or believe "blacks are violent" or "blacks are theives" or other ignorant beliefs that that Malcolm would condemn while making his own blanket statements another race. More than anything i was establishing the irony of those beliefs he had and the intellectual growth he went through during and after his pilgrimage to Mecca

@TheillMadeKnght While I agree with you that it is incorrect to say you can't separate deeds from skin color, I disagree with you that this idea was shared by white racists. White racists thought that black people were inferior simply because they were black. They could have cared less about a black person's deeds or their character, they only cared they their skin was black. Malcolm only made the mistake of looking at the deeds of a certain group of whites and generalizing the whole race.
@jon5339 It's a good point. Poor white people are often used as pawns, brainwashed into hating poor black people when their real enemy is the rich white man exploiting them both.

This is exactly why the white man didn't want us to learn to read... Black people "know who you are"!!
