Overview of Modular Synthesizer sequencer and how patch it, using the Synthesizers.com Q119 sequencer. It's not exhaustive, but gives some idea how to set up a sequence on a modular synth.

The first four minutes contains a brief overview of the Q119. The "How to Patch" portion of the video begins at 4:12.

There is a very brief demo that shows a Q119 sequence being played in parallel with a keyboard-driven patch from the other modular cabinet. As it is played, the keyboard triggers pitch changes in the Q119 sequence. This demo begins at 2:05. (Note: the audio volume of the patch from the 1st cabinet is kept quite low in order to make it easier to hear the Q119 pattern).

  • No, I'd like to have the Q960, but it benefits greatly from a couple of extra supporting modules, and I did not have the cabinet space. So I opted for the Q119 instead.

  • Thanks for this demostration. I,m about to buy a Q119 and need some basic info of how it works, like your video here.

Do you have some experience with theQ960 btw?

  • Thanks John!

  • Nice patching demo!
