This is another tune from the David Garibaldi play along book "Code of Funk". Great tune from the TOP cd "Oakland Zone". I put a partial metric modulation in the breakdown section. Probably should have been played more "straight" given the feel and context of the tune but it never hurts to try new things. I'm still trying to decide if it works or not. Your opinions are appreciated.

Whether funk and metric modulation is a good combination or not doesn't matter, like you said " never hurts to try new things". I'm a big believer in that.

It is a Pearl classic sensitone II. 5.5 x 14 with a remo hazy snare side and a coated ambassador on top.
