  • What are u talking about?! This was a controlled test with not a single human passenger, just crash test dummies! How could any passengers need medical assistance if there were no passengers in the first place?!

  • What did they learn? Jet fuel is flammable?

  • did they died?

  • This proves that planes can crash. Well great spending I guess they didnt think about the 1 trillion dollar debt problem at the time.

  • @LCPStud If there are any passengers on board, it would be impossible for them to sue NASA for they will be dead! And be rational! No one would be willing to die for a plane crash test! Think before you say anything

  • "plane crash test" ?? That's just an excuse, they just want to see a plane crashing and exploding on their very eyes..

And I'm amazed on how STUPID people are commenting on this video. If it's a crash test why would they put PASSENGERS inside a plane that they know it will used for a crash testing? MORONS! Read the description!

  • I hope the passengers sued NASA for deliberately crashing the plane they were on. Pretty messed up if you ask me?

  • And what they have learned from this "crash test" ???

  • Now who in their right mind would ruin a perfectly good 707?

  • It was perfectly genuine. The plane was flown by remote control and was intended to test the safety benefits of a modified aviation fuel. The fuel had an additive that made it harder to ignite. This additive was removed en-route to the engines. The idea was that passengers can survive an exploding engine but can't survive an exploding fuel tank. Indeed, the main fuel tank within the plane did not explode, only the wing tanks ignited. The accident would have been survivable.
