  • you need some gold ring terminals. I like the 8 gauge wire for the price.

  • @shartne I would use gold rings if these things were outside otherwise it's big time overkill and a waste of money. My goal is to make sure my pack back exceeds my payouts and things like that produce almost zero in results but cost 800% more. I use 6 gauge wire on my runs from my panels to my charger controller, the total resistance of my 80 foot run is less than 1 ohm. If I used gold connectors it would be exactly the same as what it is now. I no longer have any grid ties by the way :)

  • Yo wheres the cord?

  • @doug2877 Part 3, sometimes we have to show our failures as well as our successes lol...thanks for watching.

  • @helloman1976 nice panels. u wanna sell the power jack? I got some gold ring terminals for a couple of bucks not a big deal but I have noticed when they are not making a good connection it drastically reduced wattage. Gold plate helps with contact. Thats why they make them. Your right its not real big difference. But just using ring terminals compared to bare wire really is a lot better connection. Glad for off grid system.
