The Upper Canadians (Ontarians now), Tecumseh with the Shonee, the Mohawks and the Cree joined the British troops to repel the offensive by American regular troops supplemented by militia. It was a good lesson we taught to the young American nation just over 37 years after the American Revolution. We Canadians became a country on our own less that 55 years later. But we really came into our own when we fought fanatically, spilled a lot blood on the fields of Europe, with courage & valour.
