  • Fan-bloody-tastic!

The Undertones were perfect pop for me.

Great tunes and never taking themselves too seriously. Turn on a top 40 radio station now and what do you hear? Over produced cliched advertising jingles. Of course, I am an old fart so what would I know!

Thanks for the clip. Loved it!

  • Wow...This voice,the most wonderfull voice ever!!

  • real punk unlike the majority of the shit today

  • pop my arse the undertones are punk all the way

  • @DEWadict some early u2 was pretty good theres some stuff on war and october that is great- but i agree for the most part! For my money its a draw between the jam the clash and the damned -though id put the undertones in close running!

  • oh, thanks mate. like we really didn't know how songs are recorded. lol

  • @OfficialCrushLuther That looks like Strawberry Studios North in Stockport.

  • I call bollocks on this. This song was recorded at Wizard Studios in Belfast, this clearly is not that studio. The guy behind the board is not Davy Shannon who produced/engineered/mixed the track, nor is it Davy Smyth who owns Wizard Studio. Great song by a great band but this video was clearly shot well after the single took off and there is only one recorded version of Teenage Kicks.

  • @ftwelve12 You just mentioned my two fav songs from The Clash :)

  • Don't forget that beautiful, soulful voice and raw energy - no NY corporate cool here.

  • Never mind the bloody voice listen to the best twin-guitar sound since the dawn of time. The 'Tones were, and indeed still are, all about the O'Neill brothers. And lest we forget, Sharkey never wrote any of those songs.
