it was a non stock version asus card that had no ram cooling or VRM cooling so for the first few months of it life i could messure 80+ celcius on the opposite side of the ram through the PCB! and VRM were so hot, i gave my self 1st degree burns from it, i bought 2 HD5770 now in crossfire on asus P5Q pro as i couldn't get any HD5850, they are out of stock here til jan

ahhh, first degree burns, that is horrible. how long did you 4840 last???
hmmm do you think it would be worth it for me too wait till january for a hd5850? or should i just do as you did and get 2 h770's?

hey PcWizKid done a reveiw on this card he managed to get 180+fps on batman arkham after overclocking the hd 5850 to hd 5870 speeds so imagen what 2 of these monsters can do in crossfire

Yeah this is the card I'm waiting for, given that it aint too expensive otherwise i'll just get a 5870 or 2 5850's instead

@edgey642 it is possible to OC a 5850 to the same specs as a 5870. so on paper it is possible to crossfire 5870s with 5850. if that makes sense
