Wanna check if your Apple Remote is working, or any other IR remote for that matter? No problem, just fire up Photo Booth and point your IR remote at the iSight.

  • Its not the iSight, The remote is sensing the Apple logo IR sensor (The apple logo on the iMac G5's, And intel iMac's are the sensor itself!)

  • yeah, any cam can do that as its direct IR. Night vision cameras is when the camera can see the reflected IR. You can do this by rubbing the IR filter off wedcams (found on the lense).

  • Thats awsome I would have never notice that.

  • actualy you can do that with any camera you are just seeing IR light that you can't see with your eyes, try it with any camera same result.

  • I wonder if it would be possible to make an app to use the iSight to take only IR pictures? Anyone? Anyone? Buller...

  • that's pretty cool
