I lived there in the 90s... some really good times.
The whole thing is a slum now.

@spikedawg1970 I guess Portland is going to become the Seattle of the 2010's! Only with better mass transportation and more strip clubs.

I think Seattle's biggest problem was that it rested on its laurels as "America's Most Livable City" and it took it all for granted. It also allowed the newcomers and collaborating locals (money talks!) to redo everything in the name of gentrification and commercialization. It's sad as it has changed the city's character almost beyond recognition. In it, I also think Seattle lost its sense of humor along the way as a result. I still like Seattle but I prefer the Old Seattle,

@jpx08 I have to agree. 1999 end of one of the better eras.

Great times in Seattle during the 90s. I watched just about every episode of that show when it started in the 80s. John was interviewed a few years ago and he didn't think he could make fun of communties the same way he could back then but I'm sure he could still make fun of Tacoma.

this humor is so orignal. I wish it was still around cause now i feel like people are just trying to be redicously random to be funny wich is not funny at all.
Miss those days! The Seattle of the 90's was better than the Seattle of the 00's!

It would be nice for it to come back but I think the time they went off the air was probably the right time to end it. 1999 would be the year Seattle lost itself and its sense of humor with the WTO riots. What an awful idea to host that damned thing! That was when Old Seattle really died.
