Intel Q6600 (~210€) VS AMD 6400+ X2 (140€) in normal use...

AMD Wins! (which programs Intel will win?? :DD Dont know.. (AMD 6400+ Even wins if you use Adobe Photoshop CS3, Microsoft Office 2007 etc.etc.)

I dont have any other ideas of "normal" use so .. If you dont need to use programs like 3D Studio MAX 9 buy AMD...

(I was not tested any games cause: that Q6600 was consumer computer not mine)

@fishrule1942 I still use my Q6600 OCd to 2.9Ghz (power supply is too small to go any higher) for gaming every day, I'm very hesitant to upgrade, because the Q6600 still blows some processors out of the water.
