A 9th grade history project presentation based on the Napoleonic era battle tactics.

Basically here I had made a video using Rome Total War Napoleonic Total War 2, which is a video game for the PC, and I had described a typical napoleonic battle and the armies & formations. The dialogue isnt included in the vid but was in the presentation. I got an A on this one =)

  • What game is this?

  • @FrostyBobo If you're talking about Waterloo, another fact why Napoleon was defeated was he was asleep most of the battle, due to illness.

  • napoleon is so overrated

  • one of Napoleons actual tatics was when faced with two armies he would divide his army in two these would be Force A and Force B he would then send Force A to "pin down" the first army but take Force B a larger force to destory the second army then when Force B had routed the second army they would swing round and destory the first army.

  • I like General Sovorov better is it just me?

  • I do think you're missing the heart of Napoleon's tactics; His artillery. He always opened with a fierce bombardement from his cannons, pounding the lines of his enemies. Very often that alone shattered the morale of the enemy troups. But you're very right that he never comitted his cavalry without infantry support. The only time that happened was when Ney took over the battle for a few hours at Waterloo. Nice display though.

  • @MaxRWF idk, thats all good and well but I like democracy and speaking English.

  • u now nothing about napoleon

  • @FrostyBobo

If Napoleon won Waterloo, the demoralized Austrian army would give up the fight. Russians with no direct threat to their borders would do the same. An agreement could be signed with the Prussians. Britain , without allies, would be invaded and crushed by the entire French army.

What would happenned ? Ireland and Scotland would be free. And no WWI and WWII as Prussia, without Rhineland, has no industrial power. So sad, Napoleon lost...
