My friend Daniel Delaney from WTF? (What's This Food?) asked me what food item intimidates me. I said caviar. Here's my question asking WTF is caviar all about?

I had to crop the video pretty severely because my office is a MESS!!!

  • If you like anchovies on your pizza you might like caviar. I think it also has something to do with the texture. Still, you are right - it is WAY overrated. More of a poser cuisine (like truffles).

  • @steven3x no dude.... truffles are AMAZING. I don't even like mushrooms. It's like fungus from heaven.

  • I always thought Caviar was a type of hdd. xD And... apparently my spell-checker doesn't think caviar is a word.

  • @iamnottomgreen Up vote for the HDD comment.

  • If Veronica were caviar she'd be Almas

and if Carlsberg made perfect girlfriends it would be Veronica

  • caviar is more than the "russian" type.

  • It tastes good??

  • @earlysound I only eat mushrooms that fall out of question mark blocks.

  • Well, my father like it, and, like you, I can't see why.

  • Tempted but i have never tried it, looks to spooky crazy yucky? But if you decide to eat them for the first time you should do a video, that would be cool. go for it Veronica lol

  • I don't really like that kind of caviar..

But in Sweden, when we talk about caviar we, generally, refer to what is called "creamed smoked roe" (according to Wikipedia) in English.

It's a much cheaper (~$1/tube) and tastier product, great for sandwiches etc.. :?D

  • @earlysound Well I stand corrected. I actually love mushrooms and didn't think truffles were all that special... maybe I just had a poor quality sampling. Still, to each their own! If you seriously want to try caviar, make sure you have it with Russian vodka and preferably a non-metal spoon (stainless steel can react to it's flavour) and try it on biscuits/crackers or on simple, tiny toast or even straight up. :-)

  • lol, at all the HDD comments!

  • Completely thought that this video was about the hard drive based on the title.

  • Fish eggs are weird!!! They pop in your mouth and its weird haha and hey Veronica :) Your starting to make more videos on here :)

  • what's better than a mouf full of salty balls??

  • caviar is fish eggs....and it tastes nice ...a little salty if i remember right its been years since i had any. Nothing special really.

  • I let every else eat the caviar I only eat full grown Fish so I don't think you missing any thing - Charles
