@grandguignolplanet I appreciate your curiosity. Let me first explain the meaning of the word 'muslim'. The word 'msulim' means 'one who submitts himself completely to Almighty god'.

Islam teaches that every baby born are born as muslim ( one who completely submits himself to God). However its the parents of the child who brings up the child in some other religion. So when a person embraces islam we do not say that he is a convert but a revert because he was originally born as a Muslim.
