Yeah I owned the same one as this it's good that it shows what the truck can do, but not that impressive. Up a hill with that snow, or pulling a backhoe over some mounds now that's what's up. I'm about to buy another one, best offroade stockr I've driven.

i have a trooper and like this video but thats not that impressive on flat geound in that little bit of snow. sometimes it just take that tiny bit of extra help

And yet Consumer Reports recommends people buy only Honda and Toyota! Isuzu gets no respect no matter how much better the Isuzu Trooper was in terms of price, features, and build quality than every other SUV it competed with in the '90s. No wonder Isuzu left the U.S.! 4x4 was culturally expected by the Isuzu folks, but notice how much extra Honda charges for 4x4 on a Pilot and even puts a "4x4" badge on them to signify they charged extra money for 4x4. Hilarious.

Trooper is a very cool car! It is cheaper than the Toyota, but not worse! the only negative to weak AT transmission of such a powerful engine ;(

Yeah, we used to own a 3.2 liter Opel Monterey which was a great car but a gas hog. It constantly got around 14 mpg.

troopers have insanely low gear ratios...but not a ton of power...they could actually use more to get a lil better gas mileage.
