They did not implement the soda tax because of obesity. That is what they claim though. If they were really concerned about obesity then they would increase taxes on every fast food joint, candy bar and fat/sugar comsumed product in this country. This tax is reminiscent to red light cameras. Our government is broke and they need money. Of course there is no mystery as to why we are broke. We continually dump our (China's) money on the Middle East and other wasteful programs. USA sucks.
