Uncommon Good, a charitable organization has broken ground on the first public Superadobe building in the United State, and perhaps in the world. Superadobe is an incredibly environmentally friendly way of building because it uses only on-site earth for 90% of its construction material. The building will be used as an office for Uncommon Good, an environmental center, and a gathering place for the local Native American Community, the Tongva. The land for the project has been provided by the Claremont United Methodist Church and the Claremont School of Theology.
