PAULINE & THE PERILS are reuniting at "tunes4food" FOOD BANK & Sophie's Club benefit event #3 on MARCH 19, 2010 @ the Mohawk Place, Buffalo. This song is from their last show - July 29, 1982 @ the Continental.
I can't count the number of times that I saw Pauline play. We were friends for a while. A year or two before this video, I was working at the Continental, slingin' drinks, often running the camera. I was sorry to hear about Mark Freeland & Electroman. Hmm, remember Coffee Scare? BCMK? LOL
Pauline, the Jumpers and 10,000 Maniacs, the best to come out of Buffalo in the early 80s when I was graduating from Buff State. Listened to those three bands at Continental, and Maniacs at the Unitarian Church playing Food Co-op fundraisers. How I wish I could link this to my late first wife Zama, who loved Pauline & The Perils.
So great...loved this band...my brother Marks favorite, outside of the Enemies...my brother was Mark Cy....band 100%....Mark the mailman...a regular for years...RIP..this brings many happy memories!!! Thanks...
This is sooo awesome....wasn't there but my bro and son's dad went...my son, creator of The Long Cold Dark, was born 7/20 that year...couldnt go!!!!! So great...the old conti...my brother, was Mark Cy 100%, Mark the mailman....RIP..
One of the best bands in BFLO early 80's. Was always a fun time seeing them, which I did as many times as I could! So great to see this video, especially in the old Continental Club- whose dance floor I haunted many a weekend.
