The only part of this song that was written on stage was at Smalls in Hamtramick in '05 and that's the "HEY!" part of the song. I was there, and I started the "HEY".... People told me to shut up, and not they all shout it out loud. Even Auggie and Cocoa looked at eachother like WTF when I did it and now it sticks... Great garage rock band and I'm bummed they haven't made it big yet... They really do rock...
oh yeah, you know if their on the warped tour they gotta be good. give me a break. every band on the warped tour is all about getting fucked up and making mediocre music. this song was written on stage, and they play it because it gets the audience going. dont be a fool
The 61/49 album by the Romantics sounds like the raw garage british invasion influenced band that they were in their early days before Pete Solley got a hold of them and totally screwed up their sound with his squeaky clean production. I have changed my opinion about the Muggs and think they are pretty cool after seeing them open for Cactus, but the Hard Lessons still suck and obviously always will.
The Ivorys were a local Detroit band from about 25 years ago who were better than the Hard Lessons on their worst day. They actually wrote some really good ORIGINAL material. As for the Romantics, they still play today and get paid GREAT money for every show they do. You should actually listen to 61/49 before you show your ignorance and lack of taste in music.
They opened at a Sammy Hagar concert I went to.
