You've been kicked out of your house, and lost your job. Wandering the streets in despair, you stumble blearily into a public park, and take a seat on a nearby bench. Little did you know that a homeless man was sleeping under it. You apologize for your intrusion and try to leave; not only does he not forgive you, but he dedicates his life to trying to kill you. And on top of that, he's a religious nut.

That's the Kadeshi in a nutshell.

This is the Garden of Kadesh. For thirteen generations we have protected it from the...unclean. The Turanic Raiders who came before you refused to join and were...punished for this trespass. Like theirs, your ship has already defiled this holy place. If you have come to join we welcome you and will spare your ship until all have disembark. If you have come to consume the garden you will be removed at once. What are your intentions?

You make a valid point. My only REAL problem was the fear of leaving behind resources, which were luckily auto-collected after mission completion. I'm just going to have to adapt is all.

@Kevooi Because the Hiigaran people had no time to sit around and build up ships, the game did not allow you such luxuries. Their world and all of the worlds between them and the Vaygr Reaches were being ruthlessly annihilated; therefore any Hyperspace Inhibitor systems that held them back (Keepers, anyone?) distressed them beyond measure. For every moment they did not find victory, more Hiigarans died fighting to hold back the Blockade.

The drums and the buzzing noises really set the mood for this race. Without even known the name of the song, my mind referred to them as swarms of bees when they were ALL AROUND MY MOTHER SHIP. >.>
