Old Man on the Back Porch

My first ever music video. This was made in 1998 whilst I was doing my foundation course in Art and Design at Lurgan College, Northern Ireland.

This was shot on a Sony handy cam and uses the old 'jab the button and hope' method of trying to record as close to a frame as possible. It took me 106 hours to make and was filmed on my hands and knees in a room in a flat.

I timed it to the music playing off a tape on my hifi in the room, so the synching was all done by ear and eye. I shot it in sequence and had to restart a few times due to mucking it up a few times.

You children of the computer video editing age, you don't know your alive!

Man, backbreaking! This is awesome, I know computers make us take a lot of things for granted :P I'm in animation college right now, the teachers tell us all the time how they had to do everything by hand and analog, Great job! This has a lot of character
