MANY ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE TORAH LAW FOR THE DOWRY OF VIRGINS.
Exodus 22: 16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. 17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
According to this torah law:

If a man takes a woman's virginity, he is obligated to make her his wife. But, her father utterly refuses, he still has to pay the dowry of virgins. This would most definitely discourage men from taken a woman's virginity without asking her father for her hand in marriage first. It would also discourage unrighteous men from defiling the daughters of the world. Only serious men who value a good woman would be willing to pay the dowry of virgins.
This dowry of virgins is sometimes looked upon as selling your daughter for money. But this is without a doubt not the case at all. A woman's virginity is a high value in the sight of the Most High & Men!

This is absolutely backwards to the Most High's ways. Many dowry deaths have occurred because of the greed for money & not giving value to the woman. WHAT WAS THE DOWRY OF A VIRGIN?

Deuteronomy 22:
[28] If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
[29] Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

A shekel was about 15 grams of silver. This means you would need about 750 grams of silver to pay for the dowry of a virgin. or 29.5 oz of silver = 50 Shekels Silver

IF a Virgin is valued according to 50 Shekels a silver, than in 2003 a virgin was worth about $120.07 (29.5 * $4.07)

Jacob worked for his wives as dowry, Jacob confirms this, by working many years to pay the dowry for his wives. Gen. 29:15-30
