@fruitchew87 The story from the movie isn't completely accurate . Look it up. it's a witch just a killer of many children out in the woods in the 1800's. stories of paranormal activities have been reported of things moving in the woods and sounds of tree branches cracking. But, I have no idea if the ghosts are real or not. but if you want to find out go out in the middle of the woods in Burkittsville.

Goodness people, after all this time you haven't realized this movie was COMPLETELY made up for entertainment purposes? The producer and the director alike have said many times there was never any missing teens or "found footage" that was based on this movie. It was simply an idea that they had been working on for years before they finally put it into motion. As interesting as the story is, it was completely made it by writers.

It wasn't the witch who made them face the wall, it was Rustin Parr, the hermit. He was killing children because the witch told him to.
