nice, we need more cities to adopt this sort of transportation.

It's hard to see an overweight person in this video...

Imagine how much cleaner our air, how much healthier we'd be, and safer the streets would be if more NY'ers and other cities in general chose to get on a bike instead of a car.

@TUUK2006 The time it takes you to get to the Metro, I will probably be half way to the city on bike. Add a bus, and you will not have a chance.

Lets make that race across Jagtvej - Falkoner Alle during day time.
Your city challenge only works if you can rely on a single mode of transport (i.e. the metro), and if you start right next to said mode of transportation. The minute you need to add in a bus, the bike wins. The minute you need to walk to or from the metro for several minutes, the bike wins again.

@MrMrrossh You're entirely correct, but good luck getting a Dane to admit to any short comings in their ways of life, people or country.
-
@Liludk Don't forget the laughably high cost of ownership for a car.
-
@FesterBable "faster than using public transportation,"? Let's have a race from Amager across the city. You take your bike and I'll take the metro and we'll see who gets there first.

@Mazhify I'm from the UK and been in Denmark 3 years now. DO NOT come here. It's one of the most openly racist places an immigrant can come to. Foreigners from any country are not welcome here and they'll very quick make you aware of it. Go anywhere except here.

I can't see cycling expanding more than as is in most of current US cities due to amount of congestion and lack of road space to make those large bike lanes. But good job for Copenhagen.

what is this music called? I was in Kopenhagen 2 years ago..beautifull city and a nice time indeed. Greetings from Holland!
Wrong. Dead wrong. Yes, there is a high tax on cars, but every 18 year old in the provinces who gets their driving licence buys a car, so obviously they're not inaccessible. This is one of the richest countries in the world, after all. In the cities, on the other hand, there is no need for a car with cycle tracks everywhere. Auto industry? Denmark had car factories like everywhere until the 1960s. We ride because it's easy and quick.
