I think I speak for everyone when I say Thank you Armed Forces for giving us freedom in this beautiful country. You guys are risking your lives and like one of the lines in this song says, Loved one can never hold the hand of another guy. Thank you for giving us freedom.

This is the song they successfully bumped up the charts by bashing Toby Keith. It is also the song that fell off the charts in a week after Maines' London comment. Few know that Maines' subsequent apology to GW wasn't carried by ANY European media. That her first stateside interview where she said they would never use the stage for their political beliefs and "that's not what I was doing that night" was never reported in Europe. Hence, a pandering joke made them big bucks in Europe.

this song always makes me cry because it makes me think of the loved ones ive lost and everyone else has lost in the war. wish the soldiers could come home.

i will be leaving to the army in a couple months and my gf keeps playing this song over and over and she tells me thats all shes gonna play while im gone for basic and ait. shes so cute!! lol im gonna miss her so much.
