Octopus in Greece

I found this man preparing his catch of octopus for sale when I visited Paros, one of the Greek Islands, in May 2009. Video shot with a small Canon still camera and edited in iMovie 09. Narration edited in Audacity. TIme spent shooting: 20 minutes. Time spent editing: 5 hours. (I was a bit limited in how I could shoot because I was on crutches with a broken ankle.)

Seit ich tauche, und Octopoden längere Zeit in ihrem Lebensrauf beobachtet konnte wie intelligent und interessant dieses Tiere sind mag ich sie auch nicht mehr essen. Natürlich ist das subjektiv und Schweine sind sicher nicht dümmer - trotzdem esse ich noch Schweinefleisch - aber wo ist die Grenze - ab welchen IQ sollten wir Lebewesen Essen dürfen? A hard life is working in a corporate world losing any form of self. Flipping burgers or working in general for a company that makes you hit numbers every month like a slave. I don't feel sorry for this guy one bit in fact his life is probably better than most middle class or definitely poor people in the US. Ask a Walmart greeter how he or she loves there job. Feeling sorry for people that live in a beautiful climate with loads of friends and family with culture is nothing to feel sorry 4.

no when you catch an octopus you need to hit it coz it must go white so you can eat it btw there are many ways of catchingnoe but the most common is using a fake crab
