Hi, The BCC Light Rays effect comes standard with any retail copy of Media Composer. Unfortunately, if you have an academic version it does not ship with it. However, you can purchase them at a VERY affordable price directly from Avid Technology.

Done. Take a look at the tutorial called 'Glow Effect for Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion'. Very similar effect.
